Description
Another painting that refers to the Wayang Kulit tradition, with an equally personal interpretation.
This painting is also divided into two parts by a central form, which closely resembles the traditional dividing form, the Kayonan, or symbol of the universe. In this version the figures are not attached to the bottom, but emerge from the fingers of a hand. These figures are made into two groups, the Panca Pandawa to the right (the heroes) and the Korawa on the left (the villains). The figure in the center seems to offer the viewer the choice of which group he or she would like to follow.
