Description
The fish appears in a formation that aligns itself in the swirl of the red current. Griyawan’s game of symbols and codes, which he planted in this work, seems so personal. He tries to escape from the shadow of the Batuan traditional patterns. Incarnated in an intimate and unpretentious visual language, he began to enter the more neutral and universal philosophical domain. Just like the formation of the school of fish crossed in eight directions around a vortex, it shows no traces of tradition that may still be visible in other paintings.
