Description
Inspired by the last book of the Mahabharata (the epic Hindu story), in which the five brothers of the Pandava and their common wife, Drupadi, took the journey, at the end of their reign, to the top of the Himalayas. Only Yudistira, the eldest of the Pandava, reached the gate of Nirvana accompanied by his loyal dog. His four brothers and wife died of exhaustion along the path to God’s abode, as punishment for their sins.
Drupadi, the female figure on the left, is shown carrying the four brothers and seemingly controlling a virtual chariot pulled by three horses, which symbolize the three human natures: sattva, rajas and tamas . Her eyes are focused on the ascent of Yudistira (the eldest of the Pandava) to the heavenly abode to meet the supreme God, Tintiya.
