The jury were interested in the strong graphic quality of this linocut and the interesting interplay between the flatness of the medium and the texture created through the carving. There is a harmonious linework and a restricted color palette which creates a dynamic and overall complexity of the composition. The work illustrates a unique, critical narrative that is highly contemporary in its approach.
