Description
Full of incongrus imagery, this painting invites a long and careful inspection. There some fine surrealistic juxtapositions; a man who is growing out of the bulldozer he is driving, confronts a farmer with sheep telling him to stop. A mythical beast called Singabarong with a forest growing on his head. A man flying a mechanical bird oblivious to an erupting volcano right below him. These types of paintings often refer to the cosmic period of Kali Yuga, the time of turmoil. This is a time when Rwa Bhineda is not in balance, the universe is out of order.
