Description

This painting is inspired by a Hindu poem: Nitisastra, verse 3:  “Wasita nimitanta manemu laksmi, wasita nimitanta pati kapangguh, wasita nimitanta manemu duhka, wasita nimitanta manemu mitra”.

Our words may lead us to happiness, or they may cause wars between nations. They may harvest misery, or they may build everlasting friendships. A giant mouth and tongue with artilleries of hate and symbols of compassion represent our sharp or kind words to others. Often silence is the best remedy.
